COVID-19 Update

Covid-19 Statement – Updated 09/22/2020

The State and central coast counties have issued a Shelter-In-Place Order (Order) to prevent further spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This means that Paso Robles Housing Authority offices are closed to the public.  

The safety of our employees and their families, our residents, and community is very important to us.  It is critical that we work together to prevent the spread of this virus.

The Order states that “Essential Businesses are strongly encouraged to remain open.”  As a housing provider of affordable housing and property management company, Paso Robles Housing Authority is considered an Essential Business.  As a result, we have put the following measures in place:

Office Operations

The corporate office and property offices are closed to the public.  The notice at our property office, corporate office and website ( has the name of the person and phone number to call.

Corporate, Community Services, Resident Managers and Maintenance Employees

Some of our employees are on a reduced work week schedule. There are essential office employees that work out of the corporate office. Social distancing of at least 6 feet has been implemented at all PRHA properties and corporate office.  Common areas will be wiped down at regular scheduled basis.

Rental Property Operations (Resident Managers & Maintenance Technicians)

Annual unit inspections and recertification’s have been postponed for now.

Maintenance Technicians will only respond to essential issues such as leaking faucets, water heater issues, furnace issues, etc.  Maintenance Technicians have been issued masks and gloves and have been instructed to use them prior to entering into and any resident unit to do their work.

All Oak Park playgrounds are open subject to social distancing to the residents.  The laundry facilities will remain open. The laundry facilities and common areas will be cleaned and wiped down on a regular basis including our senior rental property.

Residents will be asked to drop off their rent in rent boxes that are available at the PRHA office or pay their rent on-line. Instructions on how to setup on-line rent payments will be provided to each resident.

PRHA currently has fairly large waiting list. Property management company will continue to process people on our waiting list so that we can any vacancies in the future. 

Resident Centers/Community Services

All activities in the Resident Centers have been postponed until such time it is safe to reopen.  Service Providers at our senior properties will continue to work by having regular communication with our residents.  Phone calls will be made on a regular basis to find out how the resident is doing.  Our Food Bank program at the Oak Park 2 Community room will continue food deliveries every 2nd and 4th day of the month.
