Oak Park 1 was the first of a four-phase development totaling over 301 affordable housing apartments that replaced the original 148 units of blighted and deteriorated public housing apartments.
The Oak Park 1 Apartments, is a 80-unit multi-family rental housing development consisting of 8 one-bedroom apartments, 44 two-bedroom apartments, 26 three-bedroom apartments, and 2 four-bedroom apartments. Square footages of the apartments range from 755 sq. ft. to 1,581 sq. ft. The target population primarily consists of residents from the City of Paso Robles and north San Luis Obispo County. Oak Park serves families with incomes between 30 and 60 percent of area median income (AMI). 32 of the units are project-based voucher assisted households, and 20 of the units will be provided to farmworker families.
Central heating and air conditioning, blinds, storage closet, patio/balcony, Energy Star® rated refrigerators and dishwashers, low flow toilets, exhaust fans, sink disposals, ranges with ovens, generous counter, cabinet and storage space, and solar-powered energy.
Oak Park 1 is a public/private financed project whose primary sources of funds come from Alliant as the investor/limited partner through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credits program, Mechanics Bank was the construction lender is the permanent lender. Additionally, the Project received deferred loans from the City of Paso Robles, County HOME funds, San Luis Obispo Housing Trust Fund, and Project-Based Vouchers from the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo.
Oak Park 1 is conveniently located just a short distance away from public transportation services, restaurants, Georgia Brown school, parks, grocery stores, Highways 101 and 46 East, and other services residents can easily access.
