 We are seeking to hire a Property Supervisor

The Paso Robles Housing Authority is committed to developing and managing affordable housing within the County of San Luis Obispo. We own and manage 341 units of rental housing and growing located within the City of Paso Robles. The organization is fully integrated with housing development, property management, a maintenance staff, and resident services. This position will report to the Executive Director.

Position Overview

The Property Supervisor must have strong Property and Asset Management experience and will be responsible for the operation and management of approximately 190 affordable housing units in Paso Robles. Property Supervisors must have a solid understanding of financial, legal and regulatory matters related to affordable multi-family and senior housing. They must also have strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with Directors, staff, tenants,

vendors and others as necessary.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Skills

Education and Experience

A high school diploma/GED or some college preferred. A minimum of 5-years’ experience in property management. Must have experience managing numerous affordable housing developments with multiple layers of financing. Must have knowledge of Fair Housing laws, relevant Federal and California statues.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Property Supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising and evaluating a team of Resident Managers.

Physical Requirements

This position requires daily use of office equipment and inspecting properties on a regular basis. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and ability to walk up stairs.

Work Environment

The essential responsibilities of this position are performed in a busy office environment and the employee must be able to keep focused in an environment with interruptions. There is minimal Car travel within San Luis Obispo County and may be some required travel for trainings, meetings and conferences. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance as required by law.

Benefits & Compensation:

Salary Range: $65,000.00 to $80,000 Annually DOE

We work on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, as well as paid holidays, sick, vacation days, and CalPers retirement benefits. All new hire must successfully pass a background check.
